The Glad Suite Collaborative at Brew HaHa Workshop Series
In this workshop, we will be embellishing a photograph using the textile art of embroidery! It’s a wonderful way to personalize an image to add color, personality, pattern, and your personal style. Participants will learn a few different stitches that work well for paper stitching, how to prepare their images to receive thread, and review a variety of styles to spark inspiration for how to design your own embellishments.
September is Animal Month at The Glad Suite, so the focus of this workshop will be on embroidering animal portraits! All materials for this workshop will be provided, though participants may bring their own images to embroider should they prefer (a pet or favorite animal, for example). All brought images should be printed on matte cardstock for sturdiness. Participants may bring non-animal images, though some instruction may be specific to this subject matter.
Kids are welcome to attend so long as they are accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. This is NOT a drop-off event. Please be sure to RSVP for the total number of people attending. Family rates are available.
Coffee will be provided, and the full menu of the Brew HaHa Trolley Square Cafe will be available for purchase during this workshop!
